FAQ
Athletic therapy is covered by some extended health benefit plans. Check with your benefits provider to see if athletic therapy is included.
What is the difference between physiotherapy and athletic therapy?
Although both fields deal with musculoskeletal injuries and rehab, there are some differences between the two fields. Physiotherapists typically attempt to rehabilitate patients so they can feel more comfortable in their day-to-day life. Athletic therapists focus more on whether their patients can return back to their athletic lifestyle and are able to maintain the physical strength and ability required for their sport.
